Question: How much do brains weigh and if your head is big does it mean that you are smarter that other people.

    Brains weigh a few pounds – I dont know the exact figure. As far as I am aware there is NO correlation between head measurements and intelligence.

    Someone MUST have checked this in the past and if it were true I would have got to hear about it.

    For what it’s worth, human brains weigh about 1.5kg, give or take 100gs, and there is a strong correlation with body size. So big blokes have slightly larger brains than small women, for instance, but there is no relation with intelligence. Elephants have much larger brains than people (about 5kgs) but they aren’t smarter by any test we can come up with it (of course, maybe we’re just not smart enough…)

      Of course I don’t mean “a few pounds” I mean “less than two Kilograms” I keep forgetting nobody knows what pounds are any more!
