      basically playing centre forward at football for England (you said it was a dream right?)

      otherwise I would have a really open mind. Unfortunately I love where I live (Colchester) but I suspect I would have to commute to London if I could’t woirk at the universiuty here

      That’s a difficult question. If I got fired and no one else would employ me as a researcher I think I’d quite like to do teaching. I’d probably also have to set up some kind of lab in my garage so I could still do research, in my own time – independent scientists are popping up everywhere http://diybio.org/

      I have a good friend called Steve Mould – we work together on science presentations pretty regularly and he is the Blue Peter scientist.

      That is a cool job!

      But it isn’t full time. I would have to do something else as well – like play guitar for a re-formed Black Sabbath with Ozzie Osbourne 🙂

      Either a snowboard instructor so I could spend all my time in the mountains or a TV presenter on a travel programme so I’d get paid to do lots of really cool things in beautiful places!
