• Question: have you won any awards

      Other than the odd award in school I’ve not won anything major. I won a few swimming awards when I was younger.

      What sort of awards did you have in mind?

      The most important awards are grants (ie money) to carry on doing your work. This doesn’t sound like much but if you don’t do well then they won’t take your request for money very seriously!

      The team that I work with has brought in several major grants in the last few years. It is not a prize, and it was due to a lot of work by people other than me. But we are all pretty pleased with it. 🙂
