Question: Do you find the subject you are working on interesting?

yes – nearly all the time. There is always a clash between the most interesting basic science and the more applied science that can have health benefits. It is easier to get money for the latter. And I need money to pay for people and equipment to do my research. But I am lucky that I get to do both basic (how the body works) and applied (can we cure the body?) research. I find both interesting in different ways.
