I have to do this all the time. It is not quite as exciting as it sounds!

The project I work on (SCANDLE – follow the link on my profile page under current job) has people working on it all over Europe and we visit them regularly to build up collaborations

In the next six months I am going to Sardinia (Italy), Bremen (Germany), Madrid (Spain), Cyprus (can’t remember the name of the town), and Budapest – possibly (Hungary).

Do you like travelling? You do get opportunities if you are a scientist.

yes – lots of times. Like a lot of things in life I wish I had the money to do it more often when I was younger. Now I have the money and the invitations to visit people, but it is a bit of a chore as I like my home comforts (and family!). I think we should live our life in reverse sometimes with the success and money when we are young enough to make use of it!

A full (I think) list is:

Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands, France, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Russia, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Sweden, USA, Canada, Japan, Austria, Greece.
