I’m still a student, but I’m training as a researcher by doing a PhD. This means that I spend a lot of time trying to find out new things about cell metabolism (my subject area) so I can improve our knowledge in this area. I then write a big report at the end showing my findings. I’m officially a systems biology modeller. This means that I use computers to make representation of the cells metabolism, known as a model, I then look at how the system as a whole interacts with itself.
