I always wanted to come here because I love snow and I love adventures. I had no idea what it would be like to live in Antarctica for a year but I really wanted to find out. Also, I wanted to do something useful and feel like I was making a difference and I think that what I do here – researching climate change – is really important. Antarctica is an important place to study as when the ice melts here, sea level rises and it affects us all.
