• Question: What is behind the saying "We use only 10% of our brain?" Is this true?

      Hi again lani!

      I don’t know where this came from and I don’t think it’s true.

      Our brains are working all the time and most bits of the brain are working some of the time. There isn’t 90% sitting around doing nothing all day!

      I think what people mean is that they can learn to use their brain more efficiently if they train it, and they can carry on training it for a long time.

      Most people don’t spend all their lives training their brain so the conclusion is that they could get a lot more in if they tried!

      This is probably true – but this 10% thing is a made up number for which there is no evidence 😀
