Question: what is the disadvantages oh living in antarctica?

There are a lot of things I miss, like my friend and family but also plants and trees, fresh fruit, going shopping and going to see bands (although we do have a band here and they’re quite good). Also, I usually spend Christmas away from home which is hard. I do always have a white Christmas though – but it is strange because it’s 24 hour daylight at that time of year.

Sometimes some of the people here get on my nerves a bit – imagine living with your class at school for a whole year and never seeing anyone else! Mostly though, it’s great fun.

The good thing about missing stuff is that I really appreciate it when I go back home. The first juicy orange I had after a year with no fruit tasted seriously amazing.
