0 Question: Why do people loose a lot of blood when they are seriously wounded? Asked by twinkles to Chris on 16 Mar 2010 in Categories: Theories.
Chris Cooper answered on 16 Mar 2010:
when you have a small wound your blood reacts with the oxygen in the air and clots. This stops the flow. Big wounds – especially arteries – spurt blood too fast for it to clot. So the heart keeps pumping the blod out of the body
